Accounting Intern I
We are looking for a self-motivated accounting intern who is interested in learning what it takes to build a successful fintech company.
Our startup Supply Pay is looking for an Accounting Intern to assist our finance department. This position offers the chance to develop practical accounting skills and gain a thorough understanding of financial operations within the tech industry. Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and have a keen interest in finance and technology.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Work closely with the accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support company audits.
- Use accounting software to enter, record, and maintain financial information.
- Must be Excel proficient
- Prepare and update expense reports.
- Assist with tax computations and returns.
- Engage in ad hoc financial projects and simulations.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines.
- Willingness to learn about new and effective accounting techniques and software.
- Previous experience in accounting or related field is advantageous but not required.
